Spring months are good birding months, with many species setting up housekeeping. Our specialties are raptors, woodpeckers and hummingbirds. Our nearness to Dillon State Park increases reclusive species extending their habitat.
Fall raptors and turkeys are delightful companions on walks on our 70 acres of paths through woods, meadow, ravine and vineyard. Much other wildllife is here as well. We have seen bobcat tracks and, of course, there are deer.
We have bird books and binoculars for beginners, so bring your walking shoes and enjoy the weather, whatever the season.
We are child friendly, and you can pick the flowers here -- except the trillium.
