In the Appalachian foothills of Southeastern Ohio, we offer a relaxed place to stay that is more like family, and less like a museum. Expect a place where you can read on the porch in your bare feet and where your children can turn over rocks in the creek.
Business travelers can enjoy a respite from the loneliness and sterility of a motel to walk the grounds, enjoy the gardens, and talk with friendly others if you desire.
Feel at home, play cards, read, and relax. Hiking and birding are favorites.
Most of all,
you can get out of the rat-race.

Spring Update.
As always, we serve breakfast, usually Mike's personal order omelet from our own farm eggs, but oatmeal is also a favorite.
Join us for meals. With 24 hour notice, our gourmand farm partner June will fix an evening meal of local food for you and cater to your special food needs (vegan, celiac, diabetes, food allergies etc. with your specific instruction.) That will keep you off the highway after you have made it "home" here. Evening meals are $10 person for something like hearty soup, homemade bread, and amazing dessert. All food is real here and made from scratch. At a slightly higher cost, she can pull off a more challenging meal and tarts that would make Martha Stewart envious.
Recent news: Spring chickens are here. See 'em while they're little and cute.
Ben's own handcrafted wines are still available despite a disastrous grape harvest resulting from late spring frost. Aged cider is available. Inquire at flintridgevineyard.com. Winery is open Saturday from noon to 6pm and by appointment.
Remember, we can put together a mini vacation of your choosing: local history (underground railroad, prehistoric native Americans, flint history), nature (The Wilds, Dawes Arboretum, Blackhand Gorge), antique tourism, geology, wineries, etc. Just give us a week and we will plan a route for you. You can have a memorable vacation and nobody will go through your luggage or fluroscope your body parts.
Bedbug update. Our bedbug precautions are rigorous. We wrap and seal our new box springs, cover our new mattresses with impermeable covers, wash everything on hot, using the dryer to kill little critters that certifiably die at 113 degrees. We do not use wall to wall carpet, and woodwork is sealed. Metal bed frames are also some protection. and we are always looking, looking, and cleaning, cleaning. We wish to protect your sleep and our business. Marin Luther said, "You can't keep the bats out of the belfry, but you can keep them from making a nest there."
No cable. Nine TV stations, plus DVD player.
Cell phone reception is poor, so we have unlimited long distance in your room,
and we have WiFi in all rooms.
